From AI Readiness to real use cases: reflections from the redk and Salesforce event in Valencia

Most businesses are already experimenting with Artificial Intelligence.

The question is no longer what AI can do, but where it can create real business value and what is needed to take it into production.

This was one of the key conversations at our “AI, beyond the hype” event, held in Valencia on 6 October alongside Salesforce. We brought together business leaders to discuss AI Readiness, agentic AI, practical use cases and some of the key developments presented at Dreamforce 2026.

Because talking about AI is easy. Turning it into results is the real challenge.

The challenge isn't experimenting with AI. It's creating value

AI can help businesses save time, increase revenue or reduce costs. But achieving this requires organisations to address challenges around data quality and availability, security, integration and unpredictable costs.

So before asking which technology to use, we should start with different questions:

  • What business problem are we trying to solve?
  • Which process are we trying to improve?
  • What data does AI need?
  • What actions could it actually take?
  • How will we measure the impact?

AI shouldn't start with technology. It should start with the use case.

From isolated AI to a connected strategy

We also discussed one of the major challenges organisations face when adopting AI: partial solutions. One tool for marketing. Another for sales. Another for customer service. Another for data analysis.

Each may solve a specific problem, but the real potential comes when these capabilities can work together with the data, processes and systems already within the organisation.

In this context, Salesforce is building a platform that connects Customer 360, Data, Analytics and Agents, integrating them with a company's existing systems.     _Evento Valencia_06_10_FY27     _Evento Valencia_06_10_FY27

This makes it possible to move from AI that simply assists to AI that can take action within the context of the business. And that is where agentic AI starts to become particularly relevant.

Five use cases for bringing AI into the real world

One of the most practical parts of the event was the series of micro-demos. Rather than talking about AI in the abstract, we looked at different stages of the customer lifecycle and how AI can be applied to each of them.

1. Acquisition: faster, more relevant campaigns

In marketing, one of the challenges is the time between an idea being generated and a campaign actually being ready to launch.

The agentic vision is to create campaigns more quickly, using information and intelligent segmentation to accelerate execution.

2. Conversion: prioritising the opportunities with the greatest potential

At the next stage of the funnel, we looked at how Qualified and Piper can help qualify opportunities and move conversations forward, allowing sales teams to focus their efforts where there is greater potential for conversion.

3. Sales productivity: reducing operational tasks

Meetings, content, follow-ups and pipeline management can take up a significant amount of a sales team's time.

Combining agents with Slack brings AI assistance into the workspace itself, helping reduce operational tasks and improve productivity.

4. Customer service: agents that can take action

In post-sales, we explored how Agentforce can help provide intelligent, continuous support, resolving certain cases autonomously while escalating situations that require human intervention.

5. Executive visibility: turning data into decisions

Finally, we looked at the role of Tableau Next in bringing data and analytics closer to decision-making, reducing the gap between the information available and the answers the business needs.

The common thread across all these use cases is simple: AI creates more value when it is connected to a real process and has the ability to act on it.

The next challenge: scaling with control

But introducing agents doesn't mean the work is finished.

As the number of agents grows, so does the need to control what they do, what information they can access, which systems they can use and how they interact with one another.

During the event, we discussed Agent Fabric as a way to discover, orchestrate, govern and monitor an organisation's agents and APIs.

Because an AI strategy needs data, integration, security, governance and a clear way to measure the value being generated.

From use case to building your own agent

After discussing strategy and exploring different use cases, we wanted to take the conversation one step further.

We closed the event with a workshop where attendees could build their own agents, bringing the possibilities of AI closer to situations they face in their own organisations.

Moving from demos to experimentation made the conversation much more tangible: what could an agent actually do within their organisation, what information would it need, which tasks could be delegated and where would human intervention still be required?

Because once we move from seeing what the technology can do to building something ourselves, the question changes to: “What could AI do for my business?”

Beyond the hype

The Valencia event left us with a clear conclusion: the next stage of AI isn't simply about using more tools.

It's about connecting data, processes, people, applications and agents to solve real business problems. Agentic AI opens up new possibilities, but technology alone doesn't determine the outcome.

Value comes from knowing what you want to achieve, where AI makes sense and how to create the conditions for it to act safely and at scale.

At redk, we help organisations identify AI opportunities, prioritise use cases and turn that strategy into real initiatives by connecting people, processes, data and technology.
